Papaya — barefoot slippers handmade in our workshop in Bytom, Poland.
Light, soft and easy for a child to pull on alone. There is no fastening to fight with: the ankle is finished with a soft elastic cuff that holds the slipper in place and lets small hands do the rest. The flexible suede leather sole leaves the foot free to bend, grip and work the way it is meant to, which is what makes these slippers a good first pair for a nursery or kindergarten cubby — and a good pair for the kitchen floor at home.
Materials
- Outer fabric: cotton corduroy, OEKO-TEX certified
- Lining: bamboo knit on all three surfaces around the foot, so feet stay dry through a full day of play
- Sole: natural beige suede leather, non-slip
- Handmade in Poland
Choosing the right size
Stand your child on a sheet of paper and draw around the foot. Measure the longest distance between the two furthest points, then pick the size whose insole is at least 1 cm longer than that measurement.

Care
Machine wash at 40 °C, spin up to 1200 rpm, regular detergent. Wash inside out, reshape while damp and dry flat.
